Troy currently manages the Paradice Australian Equities portfolios. Troy joined Paradice in February 2007 from the BT Financial Group where he managed the BT Imputation Fund and the BT Ethical Fund. Troy has over 25 years’ finance experience. Troy has also worked and studied in the UK where he consulted to M&G Asset Management and completed a Masters of Business Administration at London Business School. Prior to completing his MBA, Troy lived and worked in the Northern Territory where he completed a Bachelor of Economics.
Philip is a Portfolio Manager and analyses the Financial, Energy and Industrial sectors for the Australian Equities team. Philip joined Paradice in 2013. Prior to Paradice his experience included Merrill Lynch Research Sales, Morgan Stanley Transport and Infrastructure Research, and Pendal (formerly BT) Economics, Smaller Company and International Equity roles. Philip has 28 years’ financial services industry experience and holds a Masters of Commerce from the University of Canterbury NZ and is a CFA® Charterholder.
Julia joined Paradice in June 2019 from Aware Super where she was an Associate Portfolio Manager for the Australian equities portfolio. Julia covers Industrials, Financials, and Healthcare sectors. Prior to this her experience included both buy-side and sell-side roles at Morgan Stanley and Macquarie Group covering a range of sectors. Julia has 16 years’ financial services experience and holds a Bachelor of Commerce – Actuarial Studies from Macquarie University and is a CFA® Charterholder.
David joined Paradice in July 2022 from Ellerston Capital where he was a Senior Investment Analyst for the Ellerston Australian Small Cap Fund. Prior to Ellerston Capital David worked at Colonial First State Global Asset Management across multiple Investment Analyst roles in Sydney, London, and New York. David covers the Technology and Consumer Discretionary sectors for the Paradice Australian Equity team. David has 16 years’ financial experience and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Accounting & Master of Applied Finance from the University of Shanghai & Macquarie University.
John joined Paradice in June 2006 from the BT Financial Group where he was a Portfolio Manager for their Smaller Companies Fund. He has over 27 years’ experience in the Australasian equities markets, including a number of years as Head of Small Caps research for ABN AMRO Australia.
John holds a Bachelor of Business Science Finance from the University of Cape Town and a Masters of Business Administration from Massey University.
Matthew joined Paradice in May 2004 from BT Financial Group, where he was Head of the Smaller Companies Fund. Matthew has 28 years’ experience in portfolio management and analysis, having joined the BT (formerly Rothschild) smaller companies team in 1995. Matthew is a qualified Chartered Accountant and worked in the Corporate Recovery division of KPMG from 1992 to 1995. Matthew also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of New South Wales.
Jordan joined Paradice in November 2022 from Ausbil Investment Management, where he was an Equity Analyst. In his previous role, Jordan covered Mining Services & Contractors, Chemicals, Commercial Services, Consumer Staples, Paper & Packaging, Agriculture, Transport, Real Estate and Utilities. Jordan has 9 years’ experience in the investment industry. Jordan is a qualified CFA® Charterholder after receiving his charter in 2021. Jordan also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Notre Dame, Australia.
Jovana joined Paradice in 2023 from Tribeca Investment Partners, where she was an Investment Analyst. In her previous role, Jovana covered Healthcare, Building Materials and Media for the Long/Short Fund, Small Companies Fund and the Micro Cap Fund. Prior to this, she held similar roles at Firetrail Investments and Contact Asset Management. Jovana has over 9 years’ experience in financial services. Jovana holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney with majors in Accounting and Finance.
Adam joined Paradice Sydney in September 2004 from Linwar Securities where he was in Institutional Sales with a Small Cap focus. Prior to joining Paradice he had extensive experience in the broking industry initially starting at Greenline Securities and moving on to BNP Paribas. Adam has over 24 years’ experience in the funds management industry and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New England.
Rishi joined Paradice in November 2007 having come from Investors Mutual where he was employed for 5 years, spending the last 3 years there as an Analyst on the Small Cap team. Prior to this role, he was responsible for the development of the Portfolio Dealing and Compliance systems and later moved into the role of Quantitative Analyst at Investors Mutual. He was responsible for research on Consumer Staples, Utilities and Infrastructure, Information Technology, Telecommunications and Oil & Gas sectors. Rishi has 21 years’ experience in the funds management industry. Rishi holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering from University of Technology, Sydney.
Sam is the lead Portfolio Manager of the Paradice Australian Small Cap Opportunities strategy, and has over 19 years of financial market experience. Prior to joining Paradice, Sam was the Portfolio Manager for the Australian High Conviction Long Short Fund at Blackrock, and prior to that role was an Analyst/Portfolio Manager for the Blackrock Concentrated Industrial Share Fund. Prior to his time at Blackrock, Sam was a senior research analyst at UBS where he held numerous roles including lead coverage of the Gaming and Entertainment sector, Mining Services and Contractors, Paper/Packaging, Media as well as leading the Small Cap Research team. Sam holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Major) and Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University.
Michael is a Portfolio Manager / Analyst in the Paradice Australian Small Cap Opportunities strategy, and has 30 years of financial market experience. Prior to joining Paradice, Michael spent 7 years as the head of Emerging Companies research at Goldman Sachs. Prior to that, Michael held positions at CBA Equities, Yaz Investments, Alliance Bernstein, UBS and County NatWest. Michael holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from University of Technology Sydney and a Master of Commerce from the University of NSW.
Kevin joined Paradice in 2009. Prior to joining Paradice he was a Senior Analyst on the Artisan Partners International Value and Global Value investment funds. Prior to Artisan, he was Co-Portfolio Manager of the Denver Investment Advisors International Small Cap Equity Fund. He has also worked at Harris Associates and JP Morgan/Fleming. Kevin has 31 years’ investment experience in the US, UK and Brazil. He is a CFA® Charterholder and has a Masters of Finance from the University of Wisconsin.
Paul joined Paradice in February 2010 as a Trader working closely with the Australian Small Cap Team. In 2013 Paul joined the Global Equity team in the role of Analyst, subsequently taking on a portfolio management roles in 2019 and 2023. Prior to Paradice, he was employed at KPMG in the Business Advisory and Taxation division. Paul has over 15 years of experience in the asset management industry. Paul holds a Commerce degree with majors in Accounting, Finance and Business Law from the University of Wollongong, Australia.
Toby joined Paradice in October 2015. Prior to Paradice, Toby was with Centaur Capital Partners, a value- oriented, long-biased hedge fund manager. Prior to Centaur, Toby worked for The Motley Fool as both an Analyst on a special situations-focused investment newsletter and as a Contract Writer/Analyst for Fool.com. Toby has over 17 years’ financial services industry experience. Toby holds a BA from Rice University.
Munish joined Paradice in May 2023 from Cambiar Investors, where he was a Principal and Co-Portfolio Manager for the International Small Cap and Global Equity Fund. Prior to Cambiar, Munish worked for Marsico Capital as a Portfolio Manager across several of their funds. Munish has over 23 years’ experience in financial markets, is a CFA® Charterholder and holds a Masters in Economics from the University of Denver in Colorado.
Cody joined Paradice in September 2020. Prior to joining Paradice, Cody was a Senior Analyst at Black Swift Group where he specialised in structured credit research. He also concentrated on equity analysis for the firm’s long/short equity fund. Cody holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Denver, with an emphasis in Finance.
Maddy joined Paradice in September 2021. Prior to joining Paradice, Maddy was at Regnan in 2015 before moving to Pendal as a Responsible Investment Manger in 2019. At Pendal, Maddy was seconded to J O Hambro Capital Management where she supported the Investment Director and ESG project team in a number of tasks, including their efforts to prepare the business for the introduction of the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). Maddy has over 8 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Maddy holds a Bachelor of Arts (History, Government & International Relations).
Patrick joined Paradice in February 2023 from Credit Suisse, where he was an Equity Research Associate in the Metals & Mining sector. He is a CFA® Charterholder with over 4 years’ experience in equity markets. In addition to his equity research experience, he has worked on an ESG-focused investment strategy where he had responsibilities for ESG integration, sustainability assessments and stewardship activity. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) and a Master of Finance, both from The University of Melbourne, and has also completed the CFA Institute’s Certificate in ESG Investing.
Stephen joined Paradice in 2021 in the newly created position of Head of Institutional Distribution bringing over 28 years’ experience in the asset management industry. Prior to joining Paradice, Steve led the institutional distribution efforts for almost 9 years at Pacific Current Group. Steve has also held senior positions with leading asset consulting firms, Mercer and Russell and prior to that, 10 years’ multi-manager experience at MLC Limited. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Banking and Finance from the University of Canberra.
Dario joined Paradice in 2016. Dario has over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry and joins Paradice from RARE Infrastructure where he was a Senior Business Development Manager responsible for NSW & QLD. Prior to this Dario held various roles across investment management and wealth management for companies including Fidante Partners (Challenger), Asgard Wealth Solutions and Octopus Investments & Santander Private Bank in London.
David has over 37 years’ experience in equity investments. Prior to establishing Paradice Investment Management in 1999 David spent five years as the smaller companies fund manager at Mercantile Mutual specialising in small company research/funds management. Prior to joining Mercantile Mutual, he held the position of small listed and unlisted portfolio manager with the NSW State Superannuation Investment and Management Corporation.
Peter joined Paradice in 2015 and assumed the position of COO in 2016. Peter has 28 years’ experience in the funds management industry having previously spent 16 years at GMO Australia Limited as the Asia-Pacific COO and CFO and prior to that having worked in NM Rothschild & Sons Limited, Macquarie Investment Management Limited and Bankers Trust Limited. Peter is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland, has a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments from the Securities Institute of Australia.
Lucinda joined Paradice in 2010. Lucinda is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Paradice Investment Management LLC, the US Investment Advisor business of the Paradice Group. Lucinda is responsible for the day to day operations of Paradice LLC as well as the oversight and implementation of the compliance plan. Lucinda first joined Paradice as the Client Service Manager in the Sydney office where she was responsible for client and consultant relationships as well as client mandate compliance. In 2014 she moved to the Firm’s Denver office and assumed the role of Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the US operations. Before joining Paradice in 2010 Lucinda held positions at boutique investment management firms in Sydney, London and Geneva. Lucinda has over 19 years of experience in the investment management industry and holds a Bachelor of Arts from King’s College London.
David Tran joined Paradice in 2007. David has over 25 years’ experience in the financial markets, having held similar roles at HSBC Stockbroking and Ord Minnett. David has a Masters of Finance and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Technology Sydney. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments from the Securities Institute of Australia (now FINSIA).
Aoife joined Paradice in September 2017 as Head of Legal. Prior to this Aoife was a Senior Associate in the Sydney office of King & Wood Mallesons where she specialised in providing commercially focused legal and regulatory advice to a number of high-profile clients in the investment funds, wealth management and financial services space. Prior to joining King &Wood Mallesons in 2015, Aoife worked in the Irish office of an international law firm and has also spent time in the London office of a leading asset management company. Aoife has over 17 years’ experience. Aoife was admitted to the roll of solicitors in Ireland in 2008 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2017.
Liz joined Paradice in 2017. Prior to joining Paradice she worked in Hunter Hall Investment Management, initially as a senior Fund Analyst and then as the Manager of Fund Administration. Prior to her role with Hunter Hall, Liz worked in the Fund Accounting team for CIBC Mellon in Toronto and the International Investment Bond team in Standard Life International in Dublin. Liz has over 18 years’ financial services industry experience. Liz holds a BSc in Government and Public Policy from University College Cork, and an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business from the ACCA.
Anna joined Paradice in July 2017. Prior to joining Paradice, Anna worked at Nikko Asset Management where she ran the institutional client team. Prior to that she spent 18 years at Russell Investments in London, Johannesburg and Sydney where she spent most of her time managing distribution and institutional relationships and ran the South African office for over three years. Anna was a Director of Total Risk Management, the trustee for the Russell Master Trust, PST and other clients. Anna has 31 years’ experience in financial services. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University.
