People and Community

Paradice recognises that we have an impact upon people each and every day. This includes our employees, those with whom we do business, and the wider community. We strive to create an inclusive and fair work environment, as well as act with integrity in our dealings with others. Being active supporters of the communities in which we operate is also important to us and we seek to give back where we can.

Our People

Our people, and the talents they bring, are the foundations of Paradice’s success. To attract and retain talented individuals, we understand that we must provide an engaging, inclusive and flexible workplace. One which supports our people to further their careers while maintaining a balance between their private and professional lives. We offer staff training, development and wellbeing programs, in addition to implementing policies and procedures that create a fair, respectful and honest culture.

Additionally, Paradice is active in supporting the local communities where we seek to our people as well as give back. We encourage our employees to support charitable endeavours or give their time to volunteer in addition to participating in Paradice-led activities.

Diversity and Inclusion

We believe it is important that, where possible, our workforce better reflects the diversity within society, and that our workplace enables all individuals to feel included and able to be themselves at work. Not only is it the right thing to do, but it makes business sense to empower our teams to make their fullest contributions at work.

We recognise that diversity and inclusion is an area of focus for us going forward. Our current total workforce female representation is 36% (as at June 2023).

Paradice is currently a member of the Diversity Council of Australia.

Our Stakeholders

Our two most important external stakeholder groups are our clients and our suppliers. We are committed to acting with fairness and integrity in our dealings with them. In the case of our clients, we also act in their best interests, guided by our fiduciary duty when investing on their behalf.

We take our responsibilities in this area seriously and have built robust policies and procedures to set our expectations of our staff to always act with integrity. Nevertheless, we have in place a Whistleblower Policy, an Internal Dispute Resolution Policy and a Complaints Handling Policy.

Modern Slavery

Given its pervasiveness, we recognise that there is always the risk that we may potentially be complicit in modern slavery practices inadvertently and indirectly through our supply chain and the investments we make. To reduce possible impacts on vulnerable people, we have in place policies, procedures and training to support our staff to make more informed decisions, establish expectations with our suppliers, and monitor how we may be exposed. Our Board (supported by the Paradice Risk and Compliance Committee and the Paradice Sustainability Committee) maintains oversight of how we manage modern slavery risks and has approved the relevant policies.
